Custom KBIS Exhibit
Two sister companies, Teka and Kuppersbusch, turned to PFI to create a custom trade show exhibit for the Kitchen and Bath Industry Show. KBIS is the most important show in the industry, as it's the only trade show floor for leading companies to meet with designers, architects, showroom owners, distributors, and more. Although our clients, Teka and Kuppersbusch, had exhibited there before, their past show experiences and ROI were less than ideal.
Some of the key challenges we needed to overcome included the ability to easily change out lots of product show-to-show, incorporate working product like cook tops and ovens in the exhibit, and clearly represent two distinct companies in the same place on the show floor. The overall brand appearance is clean and European, with bright whites offset by the bold Teka red and Kuppersbusch blue. Additionally, we created greater cost efficiencies by eliminating the need for decorative tiles or counter tops; this also kept the show's audience focused on the product, not the surrounding cabinets or other accessories. Finally, the same booth staff would be working both sides of the booth, so we opened up the middle of the exhibit space with a walk-way through the booth.
The Teka side of the booth features modular wall panels that allow the company to fit more product than ever before into their booth space. Plus, as the product assortment changes, we can replace individual sink panels, rather than entire wall panels. The Kuppersbusch side of the exhibit includes dynamic product demonstrations, which our booth design pushed out right to the edge of the booth space. By locating the demos on the corner reception counters and outer edge of the exhibit, it was easier to engage KBIS attendees.
Finally, to help with the less than ideal location on the show floor, we rented one of our overhead circular brand canopies, so that anyone and everyone at KBIS could find them.
